Searching for the right wedding or elopement venue can be…overwhelming to say the least. And there’s a reason for that…actually a few good reasons to give you some credit:
Venue is the biggest definer of what your wedding will be like. It shapes literally everything else about your day, your budget, who your vendors are and your guests overall expereince.
There are SOOOOO many.
It can be hard to sift through what is a sales tactic or true, actually get the info you need, and understand what a realistic budget would look like at said venue with so much totally garbage info out there.
All of this to say, I get it. And trust me when I say this is the most stressful part of planning. Once this part is done everything get’s easier. So let’s get you there!
Before you can even contact a venue - let’s lay some foundations. Here’s what YOU need to know about your wedding before doing anything else-
What areas in Colorado are you ideally looking for?
Is your ceremony ideally inside, at a church, outside? How much flexibility do you have surrounding this?
Do you have a specific date or date range in mind? (Even a season or a year!)
Are you open to considering a day other than a Saturday? Tip - this can save you BIG time and give you the option to find more vendors!
Where are the majority of your guests coming from? Are they flying or driving? What kind of lodging do they need and at what rating and expense level?
Have you already booked any vendors that you need to ensure they can work with the venue?
What level of service are you looking for?
Are your guests going to be drinking? What’s your ideal bar situation if so?
Do you need wheelchair accessibility?
Is your dog a must?
Answering these questions alone is going to seriously slim down the # of options you’re looking at.
